Bethesda construction update: Element 28 luxury apartment tower (Photos)

The covered pedestrian walkway along Old Georgetown Road in front of the future Element 28 luxury apartment tower has been dismantled, another sign that the Kettler-developed building is nearing completion. Element 28 will be the first thing Metro passengers will see when rising into downtown Bethesda from the Bethesda station. A 15-story building, its 101 apartments and 3500 SF of ground floor retail are scheduled to deliver this fall.

If the Clark Building isn't the very first thing that Dyer sees as he exits the Metro station, he needs to visit an eye doctor.

7:29: You'll need a psychiatric evaluation first - I posted a first-person video a while back of coming up the escalator and - duh - Element 28 was dead ahead.

I even linked to it in this article!

7:29 AM here. I watched that video. The Clark Building was the first that I saw.

The Sun Trust (AKA Bank of Bethesda), 7550 Wisconsin (AKA Federal Building) and Element 28 were all tied for second.

Did you Trespass on a private construction site?

7:53: Look again - Element 28 is dead center straight ahead as you reach the top of the escalator.

12:17: No, and I have no clue what you're talking about, and clearly neither do you.

Robert,

I love your blog, but I think it is time to turn off the comments or be more liberal with the delete button. You work too hard on this blog to put up with losers like @7:29 and @12:17. Delete.

The comments don't need to be deleted; Dyer just needs to learn how to not be so easily goaded.

Robert - Any update on that rape reported on the 4800 block of Bethesda Ave you posted on Oct. 7? Any idea how I could find out more? That's kinda freakin' my wife out.

1:46: Other than contacting the 2nd District police station directly, there should be more details when the police release their crime report by the end of this week or next week.
