Minuteman Printing is the latest business to head for the exits at the Blackwell Building, which is slated to be demolished to make way for the new Marriott headquarters. They will be moving to a temporary location in the Bethesda Medical Building, located at 8218 Wisconsin Avenue, #102.
Eventually, they will move into a newly built-out space next door at 8200 Wisconsin, where their address will be 8216 Wisconsin. Minuteman has been in business since 1978.

WE ARE ALL DOOMED
It would have been helpful to note that this was where the photography shop used to be.
And also that this is on the same block as the Red Bandana which will open later this week. I can't wait to try their gluten-free asbestos buns!
11:20: Old news, but on the bright side, this is a new story they can reheat for you in 2 weeks or 2 hours. Beep beep beep.
And so is the Tastee.
The new traffic light at River Road and Willard Avenue looks great!
I thought Robert reported Tastee Diner was sold? How come I was able to grab lunch there today? He said the Washington Post stole his story on the closing, but it is still open and the post never mentioned it had been sold.
Any news about the great tailor, James Pontes, that is in the Blackwell building? Will he be relocating?
10:03: Never said it was closing. Bethesda Magazine plagiarized my scoop about the owner of Tastee Diner reaching agreement to sell for $7 million. Post then linked to plagiarized articles in the mag instead of to my original scoop that broke the story. Post also cited $7 million figure as the "rumor," but I am the only source for the $7 million figure.
You will be able to "grab lunch" for quite a while longer at Tastee Diner. The other pieces of the deal have to go through in order for Tastee sale to become final, and there is a long approval process for the Marriott project.
