Foot Solutions has cleared out of the Blackwell Building at 7758 Wisconsin Avenue after 14 years in business in Bethesda. The shoe and arch support retailer is vowing to return, though, and invites loyal customers to visit their Annapolis store in the meantime. This is one of several buildings being demolished for the future Marriott headquarters and hotel on this block.

This is simply not a viable business model in this day and age.
The store actually offered something very important that you can't get online- a physical examination and evaluation of your foot and gait. I was buying the wrong sneaker for years until I went inside this store. Service was top notch and very informational. After examining me, they suggested a number of shoes and explained why they worked for me. Can't get that service from Amazon.
Is this the same building as Minuteman Press? What's going to happen to them? We use them for printing a few times a year.
Mary, I so agree. After a foot injury, they showed me what I'd need in shoes both during therapy and afterwards.
It could be the type of business that ends up being viable in this day and age, specialized with a nod to health. I hope they do return.
