Addie's taking shape at Park Potomac (Photos)

A beloved Montgomery County restaurant is about to make a return at Park Potomac. The bare bones of Addie's, which restaurateur Jeff Black once operated at 11120 Rockville Pike near White Flint Mall, are starting to take shape in the more modern Foulger-Pratt development off I-270.

You can see there will be a substantial outdoor patio dining area, as well as a raw bar, and the fan favorite mussels on the menu. Addie's is named after Black's grandmother.

Is this the sponsored content you told us about? I am still curious about the 2 ads you sold.

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure it's sponsored, it looks like this is another example of Robert trespassing through an active construction site.

From Robert Dyer's "About [Me]" page:

"Robert has also been an advocate for the disabled and victims of domestic violence."

I don't recall seeing any mention of this in any of Dyer's articles. What exactly has he done related to this?

Apart from calling his readers "subhuman hoboes" and "mentally ill" and threatening to "bodyslam them through a glass coffee table"...

Roald said...

Looking forward to it! Love Addies!

Roald said...

Fake Roald, please stop commenting under my name! That was not me at 8:20am, I am the real Roald!

Robert Dyer said...

8:17: I'm responsible for getting numerous ADA violations in buildings, including several Montgomery County-owned buildings, corrected. I've never called a reader a "hobo," just you, the paid troll. The bodyslam quote is completely fake. I've said readers enjoy when I figuratively "bodyslam" a nasty troll through a coffee table with a reply that hits back. No "threat," no "glass," totally fake quote as usual.

Robert Dyer said...

7:08: You well know that the ads ran many weeks ago, were clearly labeled as Sponsored Content, because you made your usual nasty troll commentary at the time.

Anonymous said...

All I remember is artisan movers. But your insistance of selling ad space is frightening because I doubt you are lying and I don't see sponsored content marked.

Anonymous said...

So trolls aren't readers?

Anonymous said...

How far is Park Potomac from mass transit compared to Westbard? What's the density here?

Anna Van Horn said...

Nope, that's how he classifies it in his little mind. He's never insulted his readers, only paid trolls. Trolls are never readers. hahaha

Which we know is a lie, because I AM NOT A PAID TROLL, and he insults me regularly.

Directed at me: (I posted 3:47 & 6:03)
Here's Dyer @6:23 "You're browbeating me about money. I'm not the one who brought it up. It's you, moron...Answer the question, idiot! You're the one who brought it up, and now that whole can of worms has been blown open."

His direct quotes, see for yourself:
http://robertdyer.blogspot.com/2017/06/americas-infomercial-king-goes-live.html

He's had a couple ads lately, maybe a mover? a building? And they were properly marked as sponsored content. There was another that sounded very ad-like but wasn't marked, so it must not have been "sponsored" maybe only "favorable."

"Comments are disabled"

Robert Dyer's famous commitment to those with disabilities.

Another great example of the County Council getting established businesses to open up new store fronts. Glad to see Councilman Reimer advocating for all types of businesses throughout MoCo. Love seeing these types of articles so we can give the council the praise they deserve. Thanks for the article, Robert.

8:17 AM,

That is one of the most ludicrous comments I have read to date.

No one should have to explain to you the relevance of including advocacy for the disenfranchised as part of an activist's "About Me" page.

Far worse: No one should have to explain to you that part of advocating for the disenfranchised involves protecting their respect and privacy. So no, there would not be a "story" showing those that Mr. Dyer has helped, simply to prove to you that he has helped them. Ridiculous.

Hey, Robert Dyer. Amidst the throng of funk, I just wanted to thank you for all that you do. And thanks for the times that you have run in the past for CC. I respect your goal of upgrading the high schools so that they all have computers. It's kind of difficult to make our kids university-ready if some of the schools have no computers. I appreciate the concern for the education and welfare of the youth in Montgomery County.

Anonymous said...

What's wrong in asking what he's done?

He's been especially rude to women here and someone might question his commitment to domestic violence issues.
He's also used language that might be considered offensive to some of the disabled and/or challenged (calling people mentally ill or schizophrenic, low-energy, low-testosterone.)

Since what he says he is clashes with his behaviour on this blog, why shouldn't readers question it?

"Addie" = Adolf?

What were some of the ADA violations Robert Dyer got corrected?

I don't see how documenting this would violate anyone's privacy.

Anonymous said...

Foulger-Pratt?

So Dyer is a paid mouthpiece for the nincompoops that gave us the Silver Spring Transit Center?

Anonymous said...

This comment is 100% on the mark. Robert can't argue with the comment above as we've all read Robert's rants where he calls people these names. He uses put downs, insults people's mental capacity, and has alluded to violence (I'll give him the benefit that he hasn't physically threatened readers even though that's questionable). His about me section is words on a page...talk is cheap. His disparaging remarks speak louder than his tooting of his own horn. If I'm wrong, please enlighten us Robert.

Am I wrong, Robert?

I find humor in a lot of things, but using a disability (schizophrenia, slow, and low-energy or low-testerone) are never funny. Just sad to bring others down to make oneself feel better. Time to find new material, Robert.

Robert Dyer said...

10:43: Hans Riemer has utterly failed in the economic development department. Whether you consider his direct hand in causing 96% of food trucks to cease operation in Montgomery County, causing 11 nightspots to close, or doubling down on the failed and corrupt Montgomery County government liquor monopoly, you'll quickly understand why the Washington Post withdrew their endorsement of Hans Riemer in 2014.

Friends of Woodmont Trianlge said...

Dyer @4:49 How many night spots have opened? I count at least 12, so wouldn't that be a net gain of 1 night spot?

Robert Dyer said...

10:16: Interesting that for a second day in a row you've claimed negative troll comments attacking me were posted by you - while claiming not to be the troll! Also interesting that you don't print the insults and threats against me in those comments, only my response to them, which was mild in relation to the attacks and harassment I was responding to.

Along with the Freudian slip of praising Hans Riemer using Riemer's own 2018 talking points, it's quite clear to readers that this is an orchestrated attack. The 52 comments yesterday on one post proved again it's a troll who is doing this from a Council/developer/developer's PR firm office, or a raving unemployed lunatic.

Hans Riemer will be asked to disavow in 2018.

Robert Dyer said...

10:59: Thank you. I appreciate your support amidst a clear political attack by the MoCo cartel. It's true that, unlike George Leventhal or Hans Riemer, I don't loudly trumpet and draw attention to charitable work I do. Apparently they've never read the Bible on the topic of people who do so.

Robert Dyer said...

4:51: Only a handful have opened, so it's overwhelmingly a net loss in nightspots. We've been over this 1000 times.

Is "a handful" like "a couple"?

Leave it to Dyer to manipulate words and answer a softball but neglect to answer why he thinks it's ok to make fun of those with mental disorders...or in the case of this blog but delete the question when it's asked.

Robert Dyer @ 5:01 PM:

"Unlike Leventhal and Riemer, I don't loudly trumpet and draw attention to charitable work I do."

Robert Dyer said...

5:26: Operation: Defamation is the latest debacle for Helpless Hans Riemer and the MoCo political cartel. Total backfire as the least-popular sitting councilmember associates himself with cyberbullying, racism, homophobia and defamation.

"Hans, will you disavow?"

Did you know that pointing out true mental illness isn't "making fun," but simply a statement of fact?

Because when somebody posts a comment every few minutes over a 12 hour period, they either need to admit they're working as a paid Council/developer PR employee, or they truly are mentally ill.

Literally no one else would have the free time or inclination to do so. And for the Council to associate themselves with such tactics - this will be a campaign gift that keeps on giving if I run in 2018.

Robert Dyer said...

7:59: This isn't the first time Riemer and Leventhal tried to turn a positive from my resume into a negative. There was that secret effort they tried to launch in 2014, until their reporter lackey accidentally let it slip too early.

Careful!

"If you don't stop lying about me, I'm going to start telling the truth about you."

"The least popular sitting Councilmember"

Who defeated you. Twice in a row. And received more than twice as many votes as you.

That makes you Mr. Super-Unpopular.

Instead of failing repeatedly at tasks that are impossible for you, why don't you instead figure out what you can actually be successful at?

Robert Dyer said...

4:16: Is that why you've been posting comments containing "short bus," autism, Asperger's, and R-word on here all these years? And after that, you dare to falsely accuse me of things? You sick *******.

Robert Dyer said...

9:45: Having the cemetery precincts lift you to victory is hardly a sign of real popularity.

What I'm successful at, is pioneering hyperlocal news in Montgomery County. In contrast, you are a bitter, frustrated, poorly dressed man slumped over a keyboard commenting on my successful website all day and night. Sad!

Anonymous said...

"Having the cemetery precincts lift you to victory is hardly a sign of real popularity."

Keep repeating that paranoid delusion to yourself, rather than dealing with the fact that only 8.3% of the people of Montgomery feel that you are qualified to represent them.

Anonymous said...

Hey Dyer - How did your Mom respond when you told her that the reason that you don't have a job, is that Hans Riemer has dead people voting for him?

Robert Dyer said...

10:06: It's no delusion - it's why Brian Frosh is withholding the data requested by the Voter Fraud commission. More voters registered than actually exist in Montgomery County! No wonder Hans and others keep winning. Poll watchers needed at questionable precincts to catch those illegal voters in the act in 2018. We're gonna find 'em!

My voting results were pretty good given that widespread voter fraud, and the media's deliberate refusal to cover the debates and issues during the campaign.

10:20: And your evidence I don't have a job is.....?

2:48: I'm not sure who taught you these political tactics, but a successful Astroturf troll attack requires you to be a bit less obvious. Dozens of comments with the same defamatory statement is way too obvious. Don't apply to the CIA, would be my advice. You wouldn't last a day.

Anonymous said...

Robert, did you participate or cover the community and MCPS-backed mental health summit (believe it was in 2016) that Hans Reimer hosted with then First Lady Michelle Obama? Saw a few press releases but wasn't sure if it was covered here.

Anna Van Horn said...

I didn't post 52 comments that day. If you deleted that many, it would have been the handful that I actually did post, posts by lovely sockpuppets spoofing my name, anonymous posts you want to falsely attribute to me and you going back thru all your old posts and deleting all the bodyslam comments you'd made.

Here we go again...Give up your campaign to attack me. I've always claimed my anonymous posts, given you every name I've posted under. I'm not part of anything. You know it, I know it, everyone reading knows it.

We're going for truth here, not conspiracy theory opinion.

Anna Van Horn said...

Dyer's been busy yesterday. Deleting my defenses to his insults and deleting any comment that says they agree with me.

I made a dozen or so posts (some were deleted more than once), the rest who knows.

You don't intimidate me. I have the truth on my side. I will admit to being dis-heartened by how you've treated me. Made me the poster-child for your hate, and have 5 or 6 other names following suit.

Like our president, he has to have someone to hate...a punching bag, so to speak, and he's decided his worst threat is a middle-aged local professional woman who corrects his numbers and calls him a bully.

Robert Dyer said...

4:05: I was busy yesterday - getting things done in the real world. I spent most of the day out of town, and only about 5 minutes deleting defamatory comments from my blog. I wasn't even online for most of the day.

Haven't seen any correcting of numbers from you, just a barrage of hate and defamatory statements. You've already admitted your two examples of things you'd claimed I said were totally bogus and were never said to you.

If you are a real reader, why not comment on the topic of the article at hand, instead of continuing this defamation campaign? Yet, the comments you had claimed were yours were actually the troll. Who you don't call a bully, while bullying me Kathy Griffin-style.

Dyer @ 5:44 AM on the previous thread:

"My record helping people with disabilities blows away anybody currently on the Council, yet as a citizen activist, I've had only a fraction of their power and influence"

Dyer the Pharisee. LOL

Robert Dyer said...

3:37: Hans Riemer never "hosted" a summit with Michelle Obama, except in his mind, perhaps. Given that rumor has it he was fired by the Obama campaign before Barack even won the Democratic nomination, I doubt Hans could even get near the stage without being tackled by Secret Service.

I've never heard of Hans being involved, and have never seen any news report that cited Hans Riemer hosting any such event.

Robert Dyer said...

5:28: Can you translate that word salad for the rest of us? I stand by my statement and welcome any challenge to it. The Council's record on disabilities is deplorable, as many parents actually caring for disabled children have told me in previous elections. They are beside themselves, and not getting the support they need from the County and Maryland.

Robert Dyer said...

3:43: Unable to cite a single quote, and having admitted you falsely accused me twice now, your next move is to now claim that I went back and deleted my own comments. Best thing to do when in a hole is to stop digging.

@ Robert Dyer, actually, you do delete almost any citation that links to something that disagrees with you.

Anna Van Horn said...

You were the one claiming you deleted 52 posts. If it's not there now, you've deleted it.

I comment on the topics at hand. Often as anonymous, since just the use of my name brings out your puppets/sheep with their attacks on me.

Just as a little example:
http://robertdyer.blogspot.com/2017/05/sidewalk-work-in-woodmont-triangle.html

I claimed my posts. Anyone reading them can see you are overblowing it to fit your narrative. My comments @3:47 and @6:03 are not bullying. Read here:
http://robertdyer.blogspot.com/2017/06/americas-infomercial-king-goes-live.html

And, then you release your puppet, Woodmont, to bully me more.

If you are going to insist that every anonymous comment was made by me, then everyone can just assume that every pro-Dyer comment or anti-Anna comment is made by you. Tit-for-tat. (which would be really funny if you had a tattoo)

Robert Dyer said...

7:24: My own posts weren't among the ones I deleted. On the Matthew Lesko article, you didn't even identify yourself in those comments, so you can't even claim that my mild response was directed at you. A pro-Dan Reed comment, attacking me, is a classic troll comment. You've never ever commented on Bethesda Magazine demanding to know about their income, or criticized them about anything for that matter.

I never even responded to you on the first article, and a reader apparently annoyed by your previous attacks commented. That has nothing to do with me.

Robert Dyer said...

7:35: No such thing has happened. You've been unable to show a single case of me doing any such thing, and admitted you lied. Now stop harassing me. If you don't agree with what I write, why do you spend your day and night commenting here? It's ridiculous.

A defamatory website posting false statements about me would be illegal. This is a political attack, nothing less.

Anna Van Horn said...

YOU are the one caring about what they make!!!!!! You were all about demanding "how Dan Reed" affords where he lives. What is that any of your business?
Someone ask the same of you and you berate then mercilessly about it being your business and not theirs. Double standard.

The first post was to show you I do post about the article at hand
It says so. Reading comprehension.
Read to understand not to reply.

Robert Dyer said...

7:47: Nope, I was responding to a troll asking if a "Silver Spring Answer Man" could find out how I make a living. I notice you didn't criticize him for making that his "business," but mysteriously took me to task when I pointed out the troll's favorite Dan Reed has larger questions about his sources of income.

Talk about double standard! Why was it OK for him to question me in the first place?

Anna Van Horn said...

You just brought it up again!!!
"I notice you didn't criticize him for making that his "business," but mysteriously took me to task when I pointed out the troll's favorite Dan Reed has larger questions about his sources of income."

Why do you care about Dan Reed and is source of income?

Anna Van Horn said...

is = his

Robert Dyer said...

7:58: Why do you care about mine? You asked me first. Why do you have a right to my private information, but we don't have an equal right to that of the blogger who represents the developers?

Anna Van Horn said...

I've said before, ad nauseam, I don't give a darn about what you make, where you live, where you work how you afford to live in MoCo.

YOU are commenting about unpaid interns, reporters who only make $xx,000, and you ask how can they afford to live in MoCo.

I don't think that should be your business. So I ask you the same thing. And you freak out that someone is asking you that. Sheesh.

So yes, double standard.

Anna

Anna Van Horn said...

Here's a bit of wisdom:
You have a blog. It is open to post comments. Anyone and everyone is able to comment. Anyone/everyone can comment 24/7.

If you can stop thinking that they are all one person, realize that more than one person might not agree with you 100% of the time and see that some might be trying to help you by giving you the correct information, you might lessen the stress you put upon yourself.

Anna Van Horn said...

I wish Steve Hull would stop plagiarizing Mr. Dyer

Robert Dyer said...

9:33: People regularly disagree with me on various issues, and we have a civil and intelligent debate in the comment sections. That's quite different from someone coming in and trolling/attacking - usually with no relation to the topic of the current article. Simply disagreeing with me never is a problem, and never has been on this site. I welcome different opinions, not cyberbullying.

Robert Dyer said...

9:07: No double standard. Somebody demanded to know my income/sources of income. That right there is a violation of what you've just stated is a private matter. I then asked if my counterpart on the other side of the development spectrum will tell us his sources of income. Same standard.
