The permanent sign is up and lit at the future Chercher Ethiopian Cuisine & Bar at 4921 Bethesda Avenue. An awning with the restaurant's logo has also been installed at the front of the building. Chercher is one of two Ethiopian restaurants opening soon in downtown Bethesda, the other being Dinquesh Ethiopian Restaurant at 4865 Cordell Avenue.

Boy, is that gonna suck. Record closure speed.
What was there before? Also, did Lucy's change their name then?
5:27: Yes, I think Lucy changed the name to distinguish the two locations. Before Chercher, this building was Suma, but probably more widely known for its earlier tenant, Nest Cafe.
I think they need to change their branding. The sign outside emphasizes vegan too much, making people think that's all they sell. But it's mostly non-vegan with a few vegan dishes if I'm not mistaken.
Why are no comments allowed on the sponsored contsnt immediately above, and why is it not labeled as such.
And why was this question deleted?
Does this mean that Sandy Spring and Tower are merging?
6:10: No, Abramson remains an owner at Tower.
6:07: There is no sponsored content on my blog today at all. I have no idea what you are talking about, and I have not deleted any legitimate comment. Sponsored content would be clearly labeled as such.
Why are no comments allowed?
6:53: You just typed one!
Big breaking hotel news in Bethesda!
7:11: You think it's news that the Bethesda Court hotel is closing? Where have you been for the last year? It's right in the middle of the future Marriott property where everything including it have long been scheduled for knockdown, including the Blackwell and Connor buildings on either side. It's been known the hotel was closing for a year. LOL You thought they would leave it in place?

If Dyer didn't report it, it's not news.
Everybody knows that! You must be new here.
Why are you not labeling the Sandy Spring Builders post as sponsored? It clearly is - it has nothing to do with Bethesda and comments aren't allowed.
Dyer: "Sandy Spring Builders' custom homes dot the landscape of the top neighborhoods in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and NW Washington"
Anonymous sauerkraut: "it has nothing to do with Bethesda"
Clearly it is very Bethesda related.
"Clearly it is very Bethesda related."
You could say that about literally any DC area tradesman or builder by that dumbass standard.
BethesdaNow has been gone for three years and #UnsignedDyer @ 2:15 PM still has a grudge. LOL
2:06: Because it's not sponsored. The company is headquartered in Bethesda, and Bethesda is the primary location where they build homes, dumbass.
6:44: I had a similar story about new leadership at Donohoe, another Bethesda real estate firm, just last week. Not sure what you've been smoking, but Bethesda is what this blog is about.
9:21: No grudge. I crushed Bethesda Now without spending a dime; they spent 6 figures and I crushed them.
Question for #DodgingDyer:
Why are comments not enabled for the post titled “Tower Cos.' Brian Abramson joins Bethesda's Sandy Spring Builders”?

"I crushed Bethesda Now without spending a dime; they spent 6 figures and I crushed them."
Proof of either of these claims?
2:37: Yeah...they no longer exist, and I'm still publishing! As for the second claim: In just the few years Bethesda Now existed, reporter's salary alone would have taken them over 6 figures. They also paid $13000 for a verified Twitter account, and massive amounts to buy Twitter & Facebook followers and promoted posts on both platforms.
