gorjana coming to Bethesda Row

gorjana
, a Laguna Beach-based jewelry retailer, will open a boutique at Bethesda Row this fall. The shop's exterior and interior design will emphasize the brand's Southern California aesthetic and the materials used in its jewelry line. Outdoors, the storefront will feature an 80' mural created by local artists. Indoors, you'll find an interior dominated by light, mango wood finishes, brass hardware details, live greenery and blue bohemian shibori fabrics meant to invoke the color of the Pacific Ocean.

When entering the boutique, "guests are meant to feel as if they’re walking into a welcoming coastal bungalow in the brand's hometown of Laguna Beach, California," Bethesda Row property owner Federal Realty said in a statement Wednesday.

gorjana will be located at 4810 Bethesda Avenue. Prices will range from $38 to $700, and on-site, bespoke engraving will be available. Hours will be 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM daily.

“We are pleased to welcome gorjana’s first DC-metro location to Bethesda Row’s exciting and evolving mix of retail shops and restaurants,'' Federal Realty Senior Director Vanessa Mendoza said Wednesday, “With its classic style, the beautiful jewelry line is an ideal fit for the types of brands and products our customers and neighbors love to shop,”

gorjana co-founders Gorjana Reidel and Jason Griffin Reidel said yesterday that their designs already have a sizable following in Bethesda and the D.C. area, and that they are excited about expanding that with a bricks-and-mortar operation here. “We look forward to bringing our quintessentially Californian style further into the East Coast and we are excited to introduce and re-introduce the community to gorjana,” they said in a statement.
