There's a "coming soon" sign in the window of the old Haagen-Dazs space at 7237 Woodmont Avenue at Bethesda Row for the space's new tenant. As I reported last month, Chaia Tacos will be moving in here, next to the Bethesda Row cinema.
Chaia's menu items are all made with vegetables only, no meat - thus, the #PlantPowered hashtag. "Your new favorite tacos" will eventually take on "New York City's absolute best taco" at Tacombi, Fish Taco, and Mexicue all within one block, in what is shaping up to be a future taco cage match in the Bethesda Row neighborhood.

You must be kidding. This sounds absolutely unedible. There are a lot of health conscious people here and healthy eating is great. But, meatless tacos? No way this place makes it.
@4:49 PM: The Chaia in Georgetown is somehow (inexplicably in my opinion) still in business.
Fish Taco
Tacombi
Mexicue
Chaia
All within one block of each other....
