Did blowouts go out of style? Drybar has closed at 4840 Bethesda Avenue at Bethesda Row. Apparently even their history-making liquor license wasn't enough to stay afloat. Drybar opened at Bethesda Row in 2012. The chain sold both its retail product line and franchisor rights two years ago.
Drybar's space was cleaned out inside last night. Its space will be taken over by women's apparel boutique Veronica Beard.

Looks like their 10 year lease was up, and they decided not to renew
I always wonder whether landlords refuse to renew a tenants lease, knowing they have a more desirable, lucrative tenant waiting for that space.
