The Shops at Wisconsin Place is anchored by a Whole Foods Market, and is located at the Friendship Heights Metro station.

Reminds me of what was done in the windows of some of the abandoned buildings in NYC years ago--the ones that lined the roads that the commuters took to the suburbs. They put plywood in the windows, and painted them with curtains, flowerpots---they probably even threw in a few sleeping kitties----just so that the people in their cars did not have to look at burned out buildings on their way home....
That chocolatier place coming on Woodmont has a cute plywood painted facade too.
Or the Beijing Olympics where the fake walls portrayed happy pics and behind it were the slums.
