18|8 Fine Men's Salon, a men's salon opening at 7550 Wisconsin Avenue, has applied to Montgomery County for a liquor license. The salon will offer beer and wine to clients, just as women's salons like Drybar have been able to do since state liquor rules were loosened for such businesses.
Of course, 18|8's marketing has made clear that one thing "a man should never do" is go to a woman's hair salon...
18|8 will join Rooster's as the second male-oriented salon in downtown Bethesda.

How does rooster do? And the high end men's grooming industry in general? Interested to see how they do. Hopefully they stick around!
Nice to see that block get filled out. Konst (or is it Symatic? I can't tell which logo is the name of the store), this grooming place, the building lobby, sandy spring bank....
Too bad the deli couldn't last until this building filled out. They would probably do much better business now.
Then continuing down the line what do we have, the other lobby and old deli spot, the dentist where no one is ever there and there is all that white furniture, lobby, and then bank? That's a nicely filled block now once the deli spot is filled in too. Love the density of stores along one block. And without a parking garage of loading dock to break things up too!
Will they open a back room for the Fancy Men of Bethesda?
And will they ever replace that awful control system for the elevator connecting from the parking level to the lobby?
It would be nice to have a place where you could get a pedicure without being the only guy in the room.
I think that 8:13 AM is looking to play Footsie with someone. And that's totally cool. ;)
A men's salon. Now I've heard everything. Boy, has Bethesda changed. We went from Maloney Concrete and the Sportsman's Center to a salon for men. Just call it what it is, a gay bar.
YOU SPELLED SALOON WRONG DUMMIES!!!
Wow a lot of open discrimination being allowed on this blog.
