Bethesda construction update: Hyatt Regency (Photos)

Work continues on the Hyatt Regency Bethesda project that will add more restaurant and retail space to the ground floor of the hotel. Current tenants like Morton's steakhouse remain open during the construction. A banner out front promises that, when the work is complete, the Hyatt will be "The New Place to Be" in Bethesda.

This is not only a way for the hotel's new owners to generate more rent income from additional tenants, but also a needed upgrade to compete with at least two new hotels that will be entering the market in the next few years. Both the future Westin Bethesda (on the site of the Connor Building downtown) and Canopy by Hilton (Pike & Rose) will have lobbies, check-in procedures and in-house amenities aimed at millennial business and leisure travelers.

How can you possibly steal this many cars and the police have no arrests? Every crime report another group of cars! What about street cameras! l ?
Are the police doing any follow up?
This is clearly an auto theft ring....you can't steal this many cars and it be a coincidence.
No alarms are going off then it's professional.
It's really disturbing as the burgularies are growing too.
Ugh...do scary.

So, any drawings of what this will look like when it's complete?

Bethesda decaying before our eyes!

Literally looks the same. I'd rather do an airbnb in Dyer's mom's basement so I can at least haze the balls off of Bobby D.

I know a guy moving in his lunch spot when this is completed, should look much nicer than it does now. Hot spot for surrounding offices at lunch time

12:29PM There are no burgularies in Bethesda.

If you are so concerned with the burglaries what have you done about it?
Why do you think posting it here over and over is beneficial?
I've been to two neighborhood meetings with the police. Have you been to any?

You seem to know all about the auto theft ring. Maybe you should walk your butt to the po-po and fess up.

10:38AM What a defamatory statement.
The elements of a defamation suit; whether slander or libel, are:
1. A defamatory statement;
2. Published to a third party;
3. Which the speaker knew or should have known was false;
4. That causes injury to the subject of the communication

Just sayin

Who is this weirdo who stalks and threatens Dyer's critics, and practices law without a license?
