Public art installed at Solaire Bethesda luxury apartments (Photos)

A large-scale public art sculpture has been installed at the new Solaire Bethesda luxury apartments at 7077 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. I'm guessing there will be a lighting element to this, to help it show up better at night. Speaking of 7077, the street number is also now installed in lighted form, above the entrance to the building. Stay tuned for a more in-depth construction update on this Washington Property Company development.

Ugly art too.

In the midst of the Bethesda condo boom, the rental market is pretty active as well. Solaire will be going head-to-head with Element 28, which will deliver at nearly the same time. Following those two will be Gallery Bethesda II and 4831 West Ln., which should both break ground by the end of the year.

"A large-scale public art sculpture"

Dyer needs an editor.

Drove by and it doesn't look bad. That building is shaping up. Looks to be a heck of a lot of commercial frontage on Wiaconsin Avenue and even wrapping around the side streets. Is it just one retailer going in or several?

2:52: True Food Kitchen is the sole tenant for the retail space as far as I know.

11:11: What would you call it, Mr. Dumass? "A public sculpture"? Learn English before trolling, moron.

The Biz Journal reported that Bethesda Magazine's jazz club didn't pay taxes.
No such reporting about Dyer.
Stick to facts.

I feel so sad when I see the Bethesda crime report. What has happened to my childhood neighborhood? Not safe and too many car thefts and burgularies!

Seems like a lot of frontage for just one retailer. Glad it's already leased though. When is the opening date? The Norfolk building has been open for a while but Community doesn't look anywhere near opening. What causes the delays?

How did it get an odd number address (7077) on the WEST side of Wisconsin Ave.? Aren't odd numbers on EAST side of Wisconsin Ave.?

5:23 I was wondering that too. Easthams address was 7100.

But it's considered Woodmont. 7077 Woodmont. Weird.
