UPDATE - 7:56 PM September 30, 2022: Taste of Bethesda has been canceled, due to the forecast rains associated with Hurricane Ian. It will not be rescheduled for this year.
Taste of Bethesda, the biggest annual public event held in downtown Bethesda, returns next Saturday, October 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in the Woodmont Triangle. The event will be held along Norfolk, St. Elmo, Cordell, Del Ray and Auburn Avenues. Admission is free, and Taste Tickets are sold in bundles of 4 for $5. Ticket sales end at 3:30 PM.
Bethesda Urban Partnership is the organizer of the event, and they have a full list of participating restaurants and menus, and a live music schedule on their website. The Taste of Bethesda is held three blocks from the Bethesda Metro station, and you can ride the free Bethesda Circulator bus to the event location. Parking will be free in public garages in downtown Bethesda the day of the event.
What's new for this year? You can order beer and wine from any restaurant offering it at the event (you still have to be 21 or older). And there are several new restaurants in downtown Bethesda that will be participating for the first time. They include Chaia Tacos, CHIKO, Corella Café and Lounge, Hawkers Asian Street Fare, Oishii Ramen and Tea Bar, Paris in Town, Seventh State and Tacombi.
There will also be live entertainment on five stages. That will be free, as well.

Covid spreading, patience testing, crime attracting, wallet draining (for a good cause tho', if it still benefits NIH charities..) "community event." No thanks, enjoy gridlock from hell day!

Something to do on a weekend. 5 stages for free? Sensible folks sitting around enjoying life. Isn't it great to live here Hoping that we get good fall weather.
This will be one of those super spreader events, cases will spike but no one cares anymore sadly. As Biden said inside the Detroit Auto Show last week, "look around, no one's wearing a mask and they seem ok" lol
Appropriate this Taste will be in the shadow of the NIH campus.
Eventually we have to live again. The home of the brave can't be cowering in fear forever.

Anyone know about how much food a ticket gets?
7:17: It's usually in relation to the cost of the item, and will be displayed at each restaurant's booth. Just as a rhetorical example, a slice of pizza might be one ticket, and a filet mignon would be four tickets. So you can maximize your tickets by getting 4 separate cheaper items, or blow them all on something more upscale, if you prefer.
