The permanent sign has been installed at Rakugaki, the new Japanese restaurant opening at 10223 Old Georgetown Road at the Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda. In fact, it's already lit.
If the name sounds familiar, this is a new spinoff of the phenomenally-successful Raku at Bethesda Row. Owner Marcel The promises all of your Raku favorites, plus some new dishes exclusive to this location. After the misfire of Buredo, this looks like a sure winner for Wildwood.

Rakugaki is far from ready to open - construction has just started. As of today, they missed the Fall 2022 target for opening. Nearby merchants say there is a problem with the liquor license.
