BGR has closed in Bethesda

BGR
has permanently closed at 4827 Fairmont Avenue in Bethesda. The burger chain began here in Bethesda in 2008. It went on to win many awards and customers in the D.C. area, and now in other states as far away as Utah. Locally, BGR's Annapolis, BWI Airport, Columbia, Germantown, Monroe Street Market, Arlington, Reston and Springfield locations remain open. What I am hearing is that local taco chain Surfside will move into the BGR space.

Almost nothing left south of Cordell anymore.

Or north of Cordell, either.

The Woodmont Triangle needs a great burger place. It's been a need since Smashburger closed and now officially needed with BGR dead.
Every downtown needs a good Irish pub also.

Yeah, it was decent originally but not since then. It won't be missed. As another said here, that section does need a great burger place. Lastly, Surfside is local and popular and owned by the same folks that run Jettie's next door so, slam dunk for them. But still, Bethesda has more taco related places in a small area than anywhere else I've traveled.

Who currently has the best hamburger in downtown Bethesda? Asking for a friend.

Wait a minute Bo Blair, owner of Surfside and Jetty's said he would NEVER open another restaurant in MoCo after the hell the county put him through for permitting the Jetty.

"Every downtown needs a good Irish pub also." R.I.P. Harp & Fiddle.

Meanwhile, Surfside appears to be a cousin of Jetties.

Does Doghaus offer burgers? I still miss Johnny Rocket's.

The food was good, the service was horrible. One time the people behind the counter were verbally fighting while I waited for them to cook the food I ordered. Other times the wait for my order was excessive for seemingly no reason I could
