"Oh boy, this is great!"
--Flounder, Animal House
There appears to be a run on pizza establishments at the moment, what's the status on Deck Oven Pizza proposed for Bethesda Avenue? Did they bail?
That will be popular with BCC crowd I am guessing.
@8am: Is that something different than Aventino or AP Pizza? I think what we really need is a pizza by the slice place open late that's not Many & Olga's. Hopefully Andy's will be it!
6>02, the correct quotation of Flounder is, "Oh boy, is this great!"
Just in the interests of accuracy.
Corner Slice makes a very good NY-style pizza and sells slice IIRC.
@2pm Could be, but it's never open late.
Corner Slice, as was mentioned, is awful. It's tiny, dark, uninviting and, shock, never busy. I've tried Andy's on several occasions. They've won pizza accolades in competition and the product reflects it. BCC, office workers, Our Lady of Lourdes parish and school, folks getting ready to board the bus to NYC (I know, but they will) and a thousand others, will flock here. Guaranteed.
@10:23 -- Yup. consequence of being up that early.
Pedant.
No exaggeration, ordered a slice there, the guy heated it up, pulled it out with his hand and gave it to me on his open palm! No gloves, right after handling money. Had to argue with him to get my money back.
