7979 OLD GEORGETOWN ROAD GETS FRESH EXTERIOR UPDATE FROM DOUGLAS DEVELOPMENT (PHOTOS)

7979 Old Georgetown Road, a 1966 Class B office building in downtown Bethesda, is getting a freshened, more modern appearance, courtesy of owner Douglas Development.

New paint is being applied now, and as you can see in the photos below, the update already has given the facade a whole new look.

7979 has 11 stories, and 52,237 rentable square feet of office space. Notable tenants include adoption advocacy group The Barker Foundation.

DC development powerhouse Douglas acquired the building in 1997, and thoroughly renovated it in 2007.
