BETHESDA PEDESTRIAN ISLAND STRUCK BY VEHICLE AGAIN (PHOTOS)

"I've fallen, and I can't get up."

That's what the weary State Law sign seems to be saying on a concrete pedestrian island in the middle of Woodmont Avenue.

For the second time since it was constructed at Fairmont Avenue, the mid-crossing refuge has been struck by a careless driver.

The concrete is no worse for wear, but the sign has again taken a swan dive.
