Lock your car doors in Grosvenor - one or more energetic thieves went wild there Tuesday, according to crime data. Residents of Englishman Drive got the worst of it: 6 cars were broken into on that street alone in one night. Grosvenor Place and Nibut Court were the other affected streets; one incident was reported on each of those.
All 3 streets are connected. Englishman is adjacent to the Bethesda Trolley Trail.
In a situation like this, it is advisable to remove any visible items from your car's interior, even if they are of little or no value. And to report any suspicious activity, person or vehicles (make, model, color, tag) to Montgomery County Police immediately.
Meanwhile, a second assault in just four days in Green Acres is highly unusual for the 20816 zip code. That's something to keep track of. This time, it was reported in the 5100 block of Baltimore Avenue on Tuesday, September 10 (the first was on Earlston on September 7, if you recall).
Here is a list of other notable crimes around Bethesda on September 10, 2013:
Vehicle burglary. 7700 block Glenmore Spring Way (Carderock Springs neighborhood, River Road corridor).
Vehicle burglary. 6600 block Melody Lane (near Wilson Lane, and close to another vehicle break-in the previous day, on Wahly Drive).
