Here's the latest progress at the Norfolk Cordell II building, that will house the rooftop bar/restaurant called Roof, in the Woodmont Triangle area of Bethesda.
You can see some outdoor lighting fixtures have been attached. Elevator aficionados may want to zoom in on the boxes pictured below. The building elevators have arrived, in disassembled form, from manufacturer Schindler Elevator Corporation in Gettysburg, PA. You can see a detailed packing list on the box, showing all of the individual parts.
The scheduled opening of building tenant Smashburger next week will surely be postponed. Construction on the Smashburger space has been nonexistent so far, and my guess would be an opening 4 weeks from now at the earliest.

I am actually excited for there to be an ice cream option on this side of town again. Plus TWO Dunkin Donuts!
I agree with 10:34. It's been way too long to get an ice cream place in Woodmont Triangle.
Ben & Jerry's closed a long time ago.
Dunkin' Donuts will be wonderful as well.
It's a long overdue return to Bethesda for Baskin Robbins, which used to have locations on Arlington Road and Westbard Avenue.
Baskin Robbins used to have a store on Wisconsin Ave as well, in that building just south of the Farmer's Market.
And of course Swensen's operated on Woodmont in the Bethesda Square shopping center for many years.
The loss of Bethesda Square was definitely a negative in the redevelopment of downtown Bethesda.
