Construction on downtown Bethesda's first beer garden is underway in front of Cesco Osteria on Woodmont Avenue. The outdoor area had previously been a space in which Cesco envisioned fashion models working a patio catwalk runway amongst dancing flames, and pedicabs ferrying patrons back and forth from Metro or Bethesda Row.
This vision never really became reality, and now La Piazza, an Italian beer garden, is taking over the outdoor patio.

I never saw fashion models out there, just a few grizzled office workers at happy hour.
