There was some activity on the second story, indoor level of the future Urban Heights rooftop restaurant last evening in downtown Bethesda. It's hard to get a sense of the interior redesign without actually getting a tour, but some of the furniture and lighting fixtures can be seen in these photos. There is also still a prominent bar on that indoor level, as well. The restaurant is scheduled to open this month at 7940 Norfolk Avenue.

wow what a scoop machine.
The scoops are on the Cordell side of the building (Dunkin too!)
/snark
robert i think i saw hans riemer farting the other day while walking on the sidewalk. could you follow up on that please?
Hans Riemer has visible farts? Just how awesome is that guy, anyway?
Who's that dude leaning against the wall in the third photo? He looks like a male hooker.
Oh, and speaking of scoops, elsewhere you can find the lineup at Villains & Saints for three more nights.
Yay... are you finally reporting the actual acts? Days after Dyer broke the story. Congrats. Now write another snarky bethesda post.
Haha that was pretty funny. Except for the unnecessary /snark part. We got it. :)
2:27: Sounds like you're a few days behind.
1:22: I know you're making that up because Hans Riemer only comes to Bethesda when he's hosting a fundraiser. I'm assuming that's why I end up doing his job for him around here so often. And I'm not getting paid $135,000 in taxpayer money!
10:41: I'm still waiting for that moment when you tell Robert Wiedmaier the construction and opening of Urban Heights are not of interest to readers.
au contraire seeing someone moving on the second floor is definitely of interest to readers
3:59: Two days late.
"I'm still waiting for that moment when you tell Robert Wiedmaier the construction and opening of Urban Heights are not of interest to readers."
So what is it exactly that readers are supposed to notice in those pictures?
8:19: What I'd like them to notice is the potential to sell tickets to an event at which you would tell Robert Wiedmaier of your belief that his new restaurant is not of interest to readers. If you don't have the gumption to do that, you've probably answered your own question.
A picture that shows mostly the ceiling of the second floor, a single table, and no activity.
Again, what is the purpose?
7:27: There isn't just one picture. The real purpose is a construction update on this highly anticipated restaurant. But even more anticipated would be being in the room when you inform Robert Wiedmaier that you believe there's no interest in his newest restaurant. How will you gain support in Bethesda if you are sneering at residents and businesses in the town?
