No parking signs have been erected in the neighborhood off of River Road in Bethesda, by order of Montgomery County Police. That means taking a bus like the T2 from the Friendship Heights Metro to River Road and Brookside Drive, or biking or walking along the Capital Crescent Trail, which winds through part of Kenwood. While in the neighborhood, check out the work of the Kenwood Garden Club, and sample a refreshing lemonade, if a lemonade stand pops up along your travels.
As for the actual Kenwood cherry blossoms? The buds were just starting to bloom yesterday.

This blog is the best place for bored Bethesdans to sit and smile and twiddle their thumbs and toes.
Better than the tidal basin area for sure. Truly breathtaking. If you own a nice convertible you could clean up selling very slow 15 minute rides around the neighborhood.
I'll probably park at Westbard's huge lot and just walk to it from there.
I hate cherry blossoms, puppies, babies and surface parking.

Thank you for this timely information for this weekend, with the photo of trees just starting to bloom. This helps us to plan for Sunday - we are meeting friends and were hoping there would be some flowers to see.
