CVS Pharmacy land for sale in downtown Bethesda

The land currently occupied by a CVS Pharmacy at 7809 Wisconsin Avenue is on the market. Containing a total of 5.1 acres, and a short walk from the Bethesda Metro station, the land would be among the most valuable for redevelopment in the D.C. region. But it doesn't sound like CVS is going anywhere anytime soon.

CVS Pharmacy's lease runs for at least another decade, and they also pay a ground rent. A similar deal in Bethlehem, New York, a couple of weeks ago was the second-highest final sale price for commercial property in the Albany area this year, $8.1 million. The sale price listed currently for the Bethesda site is around the same amount, $8,038,380.

This isn't a troll comment so please don't take it as such. I'm genuinely confused about what this part means. What's the relevance of Albany to Bethesda?

CVS in Tysons sold for an absurd amount as well for the mixed use residential potential- not a troll.

This CVS has a great lube selection. Glad to see it won't be going anywhere.

Confirmed- this is 100% a lie

Just because it has a lease for "X" number of years does not mean it's there for that period. Leases can be broken, like your landlords of the past, when they tire of you.

Who reading this blog gives a rat's ass about a CVS sale in Albany, NY? Dipstick

7:12: It indicates this is happening nationwide, not just Bethesda. I did research, like a real journalist would.

Nationwide is a bit of a stretch considering you have found 1 sales comp. Sounds like some extensive research birdbrain!

Ok I get why you included the Albany info. Just confused the way you wrote it. Thanks for clarifying.

Meanwhile, I will have a yummy SmashBurger, from that place that closed 15 months ago.

LoopNet is about as reliable as Dyer's news reporting.
