While I'm grateful for the lack of photorrhea with this article, it looks like BtB made zero effort to compose the first photo. The angles are all completely random - the line of the building wall tilts at about 10 degrees from vertical - just as the beam at the top of the mural tilts the same amount from horizontal. The mural, the top and bottom sills/lintels, and the top right corner of the "neon" sign are all cut off haphazardly. That large vertical electrical conduit dominates the photo far more than it should.
@ 8:37 AM - Compare to the second photo, which Dyer properly (for once) credits to the store.
-Rear corner of walls aligned with vertical center line of photo.
-All vertical lines of walls, cabinet doors, table legs, hanging lamps, etc. within 3 degrees of vertical in photo.
Focus of photo is on the large green object on the table and also the part of the rear corner of walls at the height of the shelves.
-No objects awkwardly cut off - bottom of photo is right at bottom of table leg.
-Proper use of lighting and filters.

Do you really want to bring up Sears, which another site falsely reported was to be closed already? Meanwhile, Dyer had the first report on the real closure.
If I fucked up and claimed Sears was closing and ended up being off by a year, I wouldn't tout that. The interns will learn.
