Maki Shop installs Coming Soon signage in Bethesda (Photos)

Well, now we know what's taking over that space next to Not Your Average Joe's at Georgetown Square in Bethesda: Maki Shop. The fast-casual sushi takeout shop is already a hit in the District. Some "Coming Soon" windows screens have just been installed. A very promising addition to the lunch hour for folks working around the Rock Spring office parks.

Looks like all those ShopHouse restaurants won't be vacant for very long. Great news for MoCo eaters!

8:27: Looks like while reading Nation's Restaurant News, which has that ShopHouse story, the small and slightly-failing magazine missed all of the big stories across the county. Fortunately, savvy readers are getting all the real news here, and on RockvilleNights.com and East MoCo.

In other news, Uber's president of ridesharing, Jeff Jones, leaving because of all the scandals at that company, Jones said "the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided [his] career are inconsistent with what [he] saw and experienced at Uber."

Looking forward to this!

I've seen this empty space and wondered when it would be filled.
