Bethesda construction update: Tara Thai (Photos)

The construction of Tara Thai is also transforming the exterior of Westfield Montgomery Mall around the restaurant's facade. There will be patio dining here when the restaurant opens.

Reminds me of some of the Popsicle stick houses I built as a child.

Speaking of malls, yet another mall is being demolished, despite the apparently booming industry according to this blog:

Ooooo, patio dining! With a lovely view of a parking garage and the trapped heat of the day radiating from the concrete...

Maybe it's built flimsily because they don't want it to outlive the mall.

This is adjacent to the stinky smelly smoking patio. All sorts of people hang out smoking all sorts of stuff on that paver/patio. That'll add a nice aroma to the Patio.

I give this place a year. Then, sayonara.

Why would someone get in their car drive to an enclosed mall just so they could be outside?

The McDonald's of Thai food. It's garbage.

6:14PM For the same reason they get in their car to drive to any restaurant to sit outside
