The build-out of True Food Kitchen, the anchor tenant at the new Solaire Bethesda apartment building at 7077 Woodmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda, is underway. A Spring 2017 opening is scheduled for the health-oriented restaurant, which draws its menu inspiration from the dietary principles of Dr. Andrew Weil.

Andrew Weil is a quack.
This restaurant is a great idea. It's different, and brings new variety to Bethesda.
What's so special about this Dr and what type of food will they offer? I googled his name, but there weren't any clear results. It looks like he's a 70+ year old man with a beer belly larger than mine, so I'm not sure this is the guy to take diet advice from.
OK found a menu: http://places.singleplatform.com/true-food-kitchen-6/menu?ref=google
Nothing special, and note how even the martinis are heart-friendly. In that case, I'll have 5!
This is a chain sadly like many other new entries in Bethesda as rent is too damn high. Remember that guy who ran for NYC mayor? He was the, "the rent is too damn high" candidate. Only in NYC. Anyway, a healthy-only menu? People want an indulgence every once in a while especially going out to eat. Are there people who would embrace this concept? Of course but not everyone wants to eat healthy all the time or at all. Let's remember that even in health conscious LA, In n Out Burger is an institution. Also, where in the heck do you park to get in?
@11:17 Seasons 52 has a concept where all dishes are below a certain calorie count. They're quite good too, a least when I've eaten there.
