Shanghai Bao Kitchen, Yum Crepes temporarily close; Cold Stone Creamery for sale at Westfield Montgomery Mall

Update 12/30/16: Both Shanghai Bao Kitchen and Yum Crepes have reopened for business

Shanghai Bao Kitchen and Yum Crepes, two fairly recent additions to the Dining Terrace at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, appeared to have closed yesterday. Neither was open during regular business hours.

In other Dining Terrace news, the Cold Stone Creamery kiosk in the food court's center is for sale. While still open for business, in the sale listing, the owner is describing the reason for selling as a "family matter." One problem I can say they had, is a lack of special menu items the chain was promoting everywhere else. I stepped up to the counter during Shark Week to order the limited-time-only Shark Week sundae, and was told, "we don't have that." You don't have that?

I always thought that crepes place was located in a very bizarre spot.

Ahh, Cold Stone, home of the $6 ice cream scoop. We just don't ever go there. Way too expensive.

Looks like the "old local legacy print media" that Dyer and his shills and sockpuppets* love to trash, did quite well last year.

*Making the very generous assumption that they are actually separate entities.

No surprise on Shanghai -- confusing menu and poorly presented. The Korean salad place across the hall from them will be next to go.

Yum Crepes had competition from Wicked Waffle, so no surprise there either.

Boardwalk Burger seems to be doing well after taking over the old Kraze Burger space. I've been there twice and the burgers are good.

I think next to go will be the pizza place and restaurant next to it (Krave?) on the far end of the food court by the parking garage.

Any word on how Beefsteak is doing? I don't see people there much when I go by.

Dyer: The froyo place that was going to open still seems like a work in progress. Think they got cold feet and halted? Seems odd not to rush to get open before Xmas, when mall traffic is heavy and lots of potential customers.

We should be attacking Dyer not each other. He is the worst of us and must know what everyone truly feels about his pathetic blog.

12:59PM I'm sorry Dyer broke your heart. You're not his type. Get over it.

1:36PM Lashing out at who you think is a competitor. Your envy is showing.
And you validated 8:19's comment. Oops on you.
