Gusto Italian Grill rebrands as Gusto Farm to Street in Bethesda (Photos)

Not long after celebrating its first anniversary in downtown Bethesda and Silver Spring, Gusto Italian Grill has shortened its name to Gusto, with the addition of the phrase "Farm to Street." The changes have been underway for weeks online and in advertising materials, but yesterday new signage was installed to make it official.

During this fall, Gusto has added a number of new menu items, including a cauliflower crust pizza and new salads. They also pulled off an impressive win in the North Bethesda Market tomato sauce contest.

On Saturday, December 17, Santa Claus will stop by for lunch at the Silver Spring location, and dinner at the Bethesda Gusto. There will be free candy canes, and kids will eat free with the purchase of an adult entree.

I wish I had time to eat there more often. Great food.

Does Dyer still believe in Santa Claus?

Not surprising, given that he also believes that Hans Riemer bought off the entire local media with just $500 in "Wall Street money".

Great value, extra ordinary pasta dishes and huge designer salads. Wonderful addition to Bethesda Row

7:40: More like tens of thousands in Wall Street money - and from lobbyists for the Wall Street banks that caused the "great recession."

I still believe in Santa Claus because Hans Riemer trying to get media coverage by claiming he's solved sidewalk snow removal for the 3rd year in a row is the gift that keeps on giving.

Can't wait to inspect the sidewalks of Bethesda after the blizzards this winter and report the results. You gotta ask what Mitt Romney and Mitch Rales ever saw in this guy...

This is on my list of one of the next restaurants in Bethesda to close down. I've eaten there, and it's fine but not amazing.

That pictured Santa is the sketchiest Santa Claus I have ever seen. Beard, hair, even the Santa suit are wrong.

@ 8:52 - Agreed.

Once Dyer starts commenting anonymously, the thread is moribund.

5 vehicles stolen in one night in 3 blocks including one at grosvenor metro and yet another home burgulary! Great job Montgomery county police! why bother having a police department as Bethesda slowly becoming as dangerous as Capitol Hill
No wonder the middle class fleeing
but those traffic cameras catching law abiding citizens being caught going 15 in a 10mph zone keep the money rolling in..

@5:27PM You should talk. How much crime is your son responsible for? Yeah. Then shut up.
