The escalator replacement at the station continues as well. It has taken so long, someone appears to have tried to turn the "8" at the end of 2018 on the sign into a 9.

Friendship Heights Metro station renovations update (Photos)
Metrobus and Ride On buses returned to their regularly-assigned stops at the Friendship Heights Metro station bus bays yesterday, according to Metro. But this is how the scene looked just hours before the scheduled reopening Friday evening. Affected bus routes were forced to temporary relocate around Wisconsin Circle during renovation of the bus bay area, which began mid-summer. Will the roof still leak water and ice during winter? Metro's Paul Wiedefeld wasn't available for comment, laughing his way to the bank with his 9% raise, despite declining ridership and a record of failure.

So you expect that Wiedefeld should not receive raises based on issues that he can not control? Like the increase in telework/tele commuting, increased ride sharing and reduced federal staffing? The general reduction in mass transit ridership using rail and buses is a national issue, not only a local isssue. You really want to deny salary increases due to the loss of ridership during deferred maintence repairs like SafeTrack and Back2Good?
You seem to denigrate and criticize everyone. Everybody (except you) are wrong and should be fired.
"Metro's Paul Wiedefeld wasn't available for comment"
Did you actually try to contact him? Seems unlikely.
"YA ERA TIEMPO"
I'm surprised that this crappy translation got past Mr. BA cum-laude in Latin American History.
Who is in charge of maintenance at bus bays? At the bus bay at Bethesda station, there are two dead birds whose remains have been there for over one month. The ceiling over the Kiss and Ride area is falling down and pigeons are roosting. The entire area reeks of urine.
I agree 9:20, everyday I am forced to hold my breath walking through urine and pigeon corpses, ducking falling roof metal, just awful conditions for such a "Well off" area
