From my examination of the building, it appears that the internal rewiring has been completed by the electrician for the restaurant. There are now several wires sticking out of a pipe attached to the front side of the building. I believe that the next step is to connect these wires to the electrical network that is attached to the power poles. Originally, these wires connected to the network on the other side of Cordell Ave; that is how a truck on Cordell was able to bring the wires down. I would guess that this type of re-connection process will require a bucket truck, and I would think that this is probably a job for PEPCO rather than the restaurant's electrician, but I don't know for sure.
Still nothing on profit loss for tenants at Wildwood Shopping Center or any clue what the giant Lego is they just popped onto that building, despite their promises that they were just adding parking (if you add parking but then add a store/restaurant, it's net zero for parking).
*drumming fingers*
Update on South Street Steaks?
Did you contact PEPCO to find out why their line was hanging low into the street on Thursday, when it was hit by a truck?
Do you know if Governor Hogan's orders to PEPCO regarding the weather emergency will delay restoration of power at the restaurant?
7:36: Closed permanently according to my sources. Owners haven't made an official announcement yet. So it's not officially closed yet.
8:35: The trucker and Curry Kitchen should, as they can both sue the utility responsible for their damages.
6:50: Excellent analysis. Sounds right to me.
Too bad about South Street Steaks. I liked that place and more importantly, they were open late and were on UberEats.
