Buredo appears to have closed in Bethesda

Buredo, a local sushi burrito chain, appears to have closed its Bethesda location in the Wildwood Shopping Center. The company's website also no longer lists the Bethesda store, although their Bethesda Facebook page remains online. Buredo's closed its H Street location a few weeks ago, which leaves them with stores in Tenleytown, NoMa, Dupont Circle and Franklin Square. Their Bethesda location opened last year.

This is no surprise. The concept sounded cool, but the execution was weak. The restaurant was fairly shabby inside, and the help lacked professionalism.

It's like a burrito, but instead of tortilla we use seaweed!!! Is your mouth watering yet?

Federal Realty seems to be chasing away their customers with that poorly-planned construction they're doing at Wildwood right now.

Yeah I tried it once and didn't plan to go back. Food was unremarkable, and service too. I told my wife they'd go under, since I showed up during peak lunchtime and there was only one other customer there. That's the sign of a business that's going to fail.

More likely "JAC" from Bethesda Beat.

@9:11 The bakery or something else? My money would be on Chercher (Ethiopian place) closing soon. I never see any people there when I drive by around dinner time.

I love Nori (AKA seaweed), but I LOLed at @ 6:21 AM's comment.

@ 9:11 AM - Let me guess, near Tastee but on the other side of Wisconsin? That's as much of a clue as I'm going to give to Hobo Network News.

It was pretty good actually. But the construction has really put a hurt on that center. Federal Realty could care less. They'll get more high rent paying tenants when it's all done. Avoid that at all costs for now. Nightmare.
