Thanks for posting this information Robert. I live in the 4600 block of N. Park Ave and have heard nothing from our condo management or the Friendship Heights Village Council (FHVC).

Thank goodness it's a "no firearm carry zone" under the new County Law. /S

I would like to thank the reader who added some observations on the police activity during this incident. I am going to withhold the comment because it contained some information that might narrow down the location of the victim too much, but thanks for the additional insight.

13 year old shot in DC by neighbor.
DC teacher dies in California after being tased by LAPD.
Brace yourselves, people, for another round of national & local violence. Plywood up your storefronts and houses and get used to no police responce unless you call in for (God forbid) "shots fired."

Unfortunately, that would not stop someone with nefarious intent.

@ 12:13 pm - The village manager is supposed to alert all of the building managers in the village when a crime occurs. Write to him @ info friendshipheightsmd.gov and ask why a notice hasn't been distributed. Also go to the website: https://friendshipheightsmd.gov. Click on Contact Info. There's a form you can fill out. And write to all of the council members. Their email addresses are on the site. Tell them we need security measures such as cameras, signage and a patrol.

To Robert - thanks for the initial information!

A "No Carry Zone" is just a sign to criminals that says: "Come here and hurt us, we are defenseless".

And next thing you know right-wing zealots will be storming the Capitol again! Now back to the matter at hand...an individual was assaulted in Friendship Heights and we're looking for details from the public.

Hope the village expands parking enforcement patrol to include security!
