Dalia's Falafel, a popular food stand in Kensington, is expanding to downtown Bethesda. The new restaurant will be at 7750 Old Georgetown Road. That is the very unique, and tiny, brick building vacated by M&N's Pizza, when it relocated to 4914 Del Ray Avenue in 2019. "Coming soon" and some permanent signage has been installed at the building, which seems like a good fit for a eatery with a focused menu designed primarily for take-out sales.

A place that’s to lazy to drill a hole in the wall to properly get power to their signage is not a good sign (pun intended). It would be nice to see that funky little restaurant active again.
The problem on that side of Old Georgetown Road is no parking and hard to get there from the other side of the street. I don't know how any of the food establishments over there survive.

Has there been any word lately about the pedestrian-activated crosswalk arrangement, about two blocks down Old Georgetown Road, that this blog reported on months ago? Is there any sense that drivers are more aware of, and responsive to, it now?
