The sidewalk is blocked in front of 8011 Woodmont Avenue in downtown Bethesda. It appears several sections of the sidewalk are being replaced. 8011 Woodmont is expected to be demolished for the Artena Bethesda development. It is one of the few remaining examples of a Sir Walter Raleigh steakhouse building in the area.

I think Bethesda restaurants need to step their game up a little more. But it's wild to consider that Sir Walter was, at the time, one of the best places around to eat. Great memories indeed. More bike lanes right there too no doubt.
I believe the full name of this now defunct chain was Sir Walter Raleigh Inn, back in the days of yore.
