The St. James sets opening date in Bethesda

The St. James
has announced the grand opening date of its newest Performance Club at 6828 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Its doors will officially open on Saturday, January 28, 2023. Between now and then, Founding Memberships will still be available at a special rate. Existing St. James members can add the Bethesda location to their plan, and local Bethesda businesses can purchase corporate wellness memberships as part of benefit package they offer their employees.

Founded by athletes Kendrick Ashton and Craig Dixon, The St. James offers the same recovery therapies professional athletes enjoy, including cryotherapy, infrared sauna and cold plunge contrast therapy, IV Micronutrient Infusion, and compression therapy. Its 40,000 square foot Bethesda Performance Club features high-agility turf, a short-course lap pool, and premium studios for group fitness classes based around its "Build, Burn, Recover" methodology. Custom-designed nutrition programs are capped off by the club's street-level Vim & Victor wellness bar, created in partnership with celebrity chef Spike Mendelsohn.

The St. James has an existing Performance Club in Springfield, Virginia, and will open its third this summer in Reston. Stay tuned for photos of the Bethesda location, where an open house for prospective members will be held on January 26 from 5:00-8:00 PM.

Issue that I have with that location is the parking. Nightmare city.

If you're too poor to afford parking or don't live in downtown Bethesda then it's safe to say you're not the demographic they're catering to.

How many squat racks and what type are they?

Really? Parking garages are super cheap and convenient compared to DC, street parking is easier than DC.

What's your point of reference, because I'm gonna agree with the other poster that said it's unlikely you're their demographic.

Used to go to the Washington Sports Club there and remember hearing how the condo owners above used to complain about noise from people dropping weights below. Pretty sure I even had a worker tell me I couldn’t deadlift into the floor, only on some platform they built (even though I actually did it controlled and didn’t slam the weight like some people do).

@3:55 - Maybe you should try contacting the club for the answer to that type question.
