Signage installed at Nike Store in Bethesda (Photos)

The Swoosh is up at the Nike Store, opening soon at 7117 Arlington Road at Bethesda Row. Pedestrian-facing blade signs featuring the iconic logo have also been installed on the former Amazon Books storefront. Inside, there's still quite a bit of work to be done. But there are already furniture and displays on the sales floor, and many lighting fixtures are in place. Signage for different categories of shoes, including the flagship Air Jordan, can be seen in the background.

This place will become a target due to their merchandise. Taking bets on how soon after they open a group of juveniles will storm the place and steal everything in sight?

The theme of Nike's new store after leaving their big one in hard to access Georgetown (and security / crime issues), is Unity, and that's what they're naming that U Street store. Hopefully, Bethesda will reap the benefits that the strength of Unity will provide.
