Colony Grill is taking another step toward opening its first Maryland pizzeria at 11325 Seven Locks Road at Cabin John Village in Potomac. The pizza parlor is now hiring staff for all positions. A QR code has been posted inside the window of the business, but your phone may be able to recognize it from one of these photos if you are lucky.
The furniture that was in plastic wrap at the beginning of June is now unwrapped, and in place. Should you be excited to hear an opening date? Remember, Davey Pageviews gave Colony Grill's hot oil pizza an 8.4!!! Everybody knows the rules!

The view from the deck seems less than stellar.
The interior, visible as you walk by from the inside, looks nice. Two things that don't make sense. One, this is a pizza place? Name, logo, etc doesn't really give the prospective customer that idea. A pub, tavern or saloon, sure. Second, the painted sign on the wall inside says they've been around since 1935 or something like that. They've been in business for decades? Where? I gotta say though, the build out looks really nice. As another said, the patio is a bust. But what can they do? The view is the view. Lastly, the folks behind this know what they're doing so it's a definite try.
There's one in CLarendon.
