Banner posted at Tapp'd Bethesda

A banner was put up outside the future home of Tapp'd Bethesda, a taproom and restaurant opening soon at the former home of Union Jack's on St. Elmo Avenue. As I reported a few weeks ago, Tapp'd is from the same ownership as Union Jack's.

So, I guess this is a wash on the great Hans Riemer closure list? Sounds like just the owners changing concepts to something better fitting with Bethesda's changing demographics?

No, silly, it's on the opening list. The closure list is for closings.

After reading the BN article Dyer must have felt the need to reiterate that he was first.

I think the revamp is to get rid of the younger twenty something trash that hung out there. I was told that they are trying to attract a thirty something crowd and hoping that it brings in less riffraff.
