Montgomery County police are investigating the theft of a vehicle in the Spring Hill/Westmoreland Hills area of Bethesda. The vehicle was taken from the driveway of a home in the 5100 block of Cape Cod Court, according to crime data. It is believed to have been stolen sometime between 10:00 PM last Saturday night, and 6:30 AM Sunday morning.

9:31 AM: I said that that these signs didn't prevent it. There's nothing remotely callous or racist about that even though you really want there to be. I never said where these signs were when they didn't prevent it. You assumed that I was saying that they were on the car that got stolen or at the property where the car was stolen from. Way to ASSume that genius.
Maybe the culprits were wearing MAGA hats. You know those red-hatted folks are well-known for coming into MoCo and stealing cars. Perhaps that's an assumption you'd feel more comfortable making.
Now go call a social worker to report it since you defunded the police. Thanks.
SocialNorm -- Is your comment intended as a parody of a humorless Social Justice Warrior (calling yourself 'SocialNorm' seems like a tell), or do you seriously believe that the author of the sarcastic comment at 7:23 AM would be shamed into submission by your calling them a racist? If the former, I applaud you.
9:31: You must be miserable seeing race and racism wherever you go. 7:23 AM didn't make an assumption about race or say anything racist, you did. He/She said the "Biden-Harris, BLM, Hate Has No Home Here" signs didn't stop the crime from happening, and then like an NPC Clown you assumed that the signs were actually on the vehicle or at the property where it was stolen from. And then one better, you made the assumption that referring to the signs in the context of the crime was race blaming and racist. Now why would you ASSume anything with respect to the race criminals involved here? You don't know anything about them, but you're already circling the wagons when you have no facts at hand. You don't know anything about me or Him/Her either. There are tons of these signs all around MoCo. They obviously don't stop car theft. You'd better slow your roll and recognize where you're coming from, because right now the only racist making ASSumptions about others here or the criminals involved here is you. Sit this one out.

@8:47 AM: Thanks for the tip about Poe's law. As I said, it was the name SocialNorm, and not what he (or she) said, that made me wonder whether the comment was intended as parody. The comment itself was standard SJW name calling (and I agree the comment was based on racist assumptions), but the name itself could be interpreted ironically.
