MDOT working on Wisconsin Avenue at Bradley Boulevard last night (Photos)

A Maryland Department of Transportation crew was out on Wisconsin Avenue around the intersection with Bradley Boulevard late last night. Some southbound lanes were closed in that area. It was unclear what MDOT was doing, and none of their traffic advisory feeds or media alerts provided drivers any advance or real-time notice of the work.

What MDOT needs to do fix the pavement at the intersection of Wilson Lane (Maryland Route 188) and Arlington Road. When making a right turn from Wilson Lane onto Arlington Road, the roadway is in absolutely terrible shape with huge potholes. This is right at the transition from State responsibility (Maryland Route 188) to Arlington Road (Montgomery County Responsibility). I've submitted tickets to both the State and the County about this. Maybe they're negotiating who should fix it. In the meantime, I'm avoiding this intersection by cutting through the Edgemoor side streets or by going on Old Georgetown Road over to Woodmont.

MoCo really needs to repave the northern portion of Arlington Road, up to the intersection with Old Georgetown Road, as well. It's in terrible shape and I submitted a ticket for that as well.
