Pinstripes is getting some competition at Pike & Rose. Property owner Federal Realty announced Sports & Social is coming to the former Del Frisco's Grill location at 11800 Grand Park Avenue this fall. Another Maryland location was just opened by the chain at the Maryland Live Casino in Hanover.
In addition to a variety of options for viewing major sporting events, the restaurant will also feature live music and interactive games like bowling, foosball, and shuffleboard. The Del Frisco's space is well-suited for such a use, both in its size and in its multilevel layout. A liquor license application for Sports & Social is now posted at the space.

These people are major risk takers or just plain dumb. They are opening a venue that goes against everything MoCo is allowing right now. Any confidence that'll change anytime soon? No. In FL, this would be doing gang buster business but this is moribund MoCo, last in the nation to open up. Good luck.

They are going to bea sportsbook. The oneat Live is open and all set up just not taking bets yet.
Punch Bowl Social in Ballston was extremely popular pre-pandemic. Absolutely packed, hard to get a table.
If things ever go back to "normal", this should do well. Downtown bethesda needs something like this.
I agree! These type of event spaces are much more engaging than a normal bowling alley or bar. I visited the Punch Bowl Social in Detroit and it was great. The food was a bit average and over-priced, but lots of fun activities to enjoy.
