Two more prominent tenants have come aboard at the new Chevy Chase Lake development on Connecticut Avenue. CVS Pharmacy has signed a lease for a 10,256 square foot store at a prominent location, which is on Connecticut Avenue in The Claude apartment building, and right next to the station access for the Purple Line light rail. Baltimore-based The Charmery, a handcrafted ice cream shop with 5 locations in the Charm City region, has also signed on for a 1,306 SF shop in the building across the park from The Claude.
CVS and The Charmery will join an Amazon grocery store, Truist, and Uncorked Chevy Chase as charter tenants at the town-center-style development, which is still under construction. With CVS and a grocery store on-site, Chevy Chase Lake can now market the condo and rental units as offering just about every esssential item to residents without leaving the property. And for those who find dessert an essential, The Charmery will bring a distinctively-Maryland brand of ice cream; flavors include Otterbein Sugar Cookie, Old Bay Caramel, and Maryland Mud with chocolate, chocolate chips and Oreo cookie pieces.
