Trader Joe's has informed me that their new Bethesda store at 7900 Wisconsin Avenue will open on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Located in the 8001 Woodmont apartment building, this will be the second Trader Joe's grocery store in downtown Bethesda.
There are still lots of empty shelves and cases to be filled around the store, as you can see in these photos. Some interior signage has finally been installed in recent days, as final preparations are made for the St. Patrick's Day opening.

That's great news! This new location should do very well and it will definitely address the crowding at the current location. I really hope they keep both locations open. Bethesda is big enough for two.
Let's see how long the old store stays open...........we'll start our count down on March 17th when the new store opens.........
The pot is beginning to boil.
It took so long for this building to be completed that Trader Joe's probably had to extend their lease down the street.
Everyone, please continue to tip your cashiers as the pandemic continues.
What’s rye parking situation?
10:04: Parking garage accessed from the Woodmont side of the building.
9:12: Good point.
Who on earth tips cashiers? If you care about workers then go to a grocer with unionized/decently paid workers instead.
