The work of demolishing 7316 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda is proceeding faster than a similar office demolition on Bethesda Avenue a few years ago, but the pace can still be characterized as "deliberate." At least it provided an apocalyptic backdrop for the People's Convoy as it passed by the site yesterday afternoon. This former Bank of America office building is being removed to clear the way for B.F. Saul's Hampden House apartment tower.

Hampden Lane is completely blocked today so they can continue working on the demolition safely. Hopefully it won't be blocked for the duration of construction.
