Solaire Bethesda luxury apartment project tops out (Photos)

Washington Property Company's Solaire Bethesda luxury apartment project has topped out at 7100 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. The first of the building's 139 units are expected to deliver  in June 2016, with the entire project slated for delivery next fall. True Food Kitchen is the restaurant anchor of the project's 6400 SF retail space, and will open next fall, as well.

WPC has another new real estate project in the works. The company is converting an office building at 4 Research Place in Rockville to a 715-unit CubeSmart self-storage facility. WPC President Charles K. Nulsen, III yesterday encouraged empty-nesters to "consider storing their excess household goods at 270 Storage and moving into Solaire Bethesda, where they can enjoy a carefree, luxurious lifestyle in a walkable, highly amenitized, transit-friendly community."

The Solaire will be only 800 feet from the future entrances to the Bethesda Red Line Metro station and Purple Line station at Wisconsin and Elm Street.

There's no way this project has 700 units, as stated in the blog post.

139... 700...

$106 million... $106 billion...

Dyer last reported this building as having 139 planned units....

The figure of 700 is wrong.

Maybe Robert had too many lime-a-ritas in the review room last night.

It happens without an editor. He'll probably correct it soon.

And he fixed it from 700 to 138. No fanfare. No update notice. No word to readers. Simple as that. Revisionist history.

Every development project needs time as there are many processes on top of the construction itself. There will be the initial setup which flows right through the cleanup course like the removal of the debris and so on that follows.
