Here's a sneak preview of the interior of Mexicue at 4733 Elm Street in downtown Bethesda. Asked when the taco restaurant would be opening, a spokesperson would only say it will be "very, very soon." It will immediately enter a battle royale upon opening, squaring off against the Tacombi, Fish Taco and Chaia tacquerias all within one block of Mexicue.

I'm just telling you, Tacombi is awful.
Tacombi is well liked down in Crystal City. Maybe they need time up here to get it up and going……….
12:36 - That's certainly possible. But I had high hopes because it was a much touted spot. To say that we were underwhelmed would not be an exaggeration. There's rough competition now in that space so they'd better step it up. It's not cheap either. People are happy to pay around here and eating out isn't a problem. But they won't tolerate crappy food for any price.
