Sidewalk reopens in front of future Koons Lincoln dealership in Bethesda + construction update (Photos)

Pedestrians once again have access to the sidewalk in front of 7315 Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Bethesda. Construction has blocked the sidewalk for many months. A Koons Lincoln of Bethesda dealership is moving into tnhe ground floor of the building.

An early 2022 opening date was missed, and construction continues on the storefront and interior fit-out. The latter appears to be very far along. Desks and furniture are in place, but no cars as of yet. Now, when is Lincoln going to give us a new Town Car?

Too bad there still aren't street trees on this block, for some reason.

They're definitely going to get brand visibility at this location.

I think the Town Car is dead, unfortunately. Lincoln will be focused on SUV's and Crossovers. Look at Ford: They killed off the Fusion Sedan (big mistake to cede the market to the Camry and Accord) and the only car they sell now is the Mustang. Everything else Ford sells is an SUV, Crossover or Van.

Lincoln will be making a big push on electric vehicles, and I hope a sedan is part of the mix, but I doubt it: https://www.cnbc.com/2022/04/20/ford-announces-lincoln-star-ev-concept-four-new-evs-to-debut-by-2026.html

"DETROIT – Ford Motor plans to introduce four new electric vehicles into its Lincoln lineup by 2026, as the once-dominant American luxury brand reinvents itself to focus on EVs."

The high demand for the F-150 Lightning Truck shows that people want electric vehicles from other manufacturers. Tesla's aren't everyones' cup of tea.

Love my Town Car! Bought it used with 8K miles off of Ebay delivered from Miami. Saved loads and loads of money and time. Would I consider buying a new car from a dealership as swanky as this one is sure to become? LOL. Those days are gone.

The office tower was built well before Bethesda had a requirement for street trees. I agree it is very open and wind blown on that block. Too bad the owner does not see the merit of adding street trees to create some shade, as well as adding benches and , pedestrian scale lighting to the block.

I’m sure they plan to park big black 10 MPG Lincoln Navigators, with black tinted windows in front of their storefront on Wisconsin. An interesting environmental counterpoint to the heavy rail, light rail, CCT and future BRT across the street.
