SB Wisconsin Avenue to close between Norfolk & Middleton in Bethesda much of Sunday, June 26th

A mobile crane contractor has permission from the Maryland State Highway Administration to close all of the southbound lanes of Wisconsin Avenue (MD 355) at Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda this coming Sunday, June 26, 2022. The closure hours are expected to be from 2:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, and the segment of Wisconsin affected is between Norfolk and Middleton Lane. A traffic control contractor will guide southbound drivers onto Norfolk Avenue to detour around the closures.

If weather prevents the crane operation on Sunday, it will be performed beginning at 2:00 AM Monday morning. The crane will be assisting work at 7700 Wisconsin Avenue.

That’s odd because Norfolk does not intersect Wisconsin Avenue. Perhaps they mean between Cheltenham and Middleton.

2:51: No, Norfolk in fact does go all the way to Wisconsin past the Tastee Diner. Check Google Maps.

Somebody better tell Apple Maps, as it labeled the street as Cheltenham. I checked the street signs and you are correct.
